Bone Broth Hot Chocolate (The Original Viral Recipe!)
Featured on the Drew Barrymore show, the New York Post, and the Kettle & Fire Blog!
Hey guys, Fallon here! If you’re new here, welcome! I’m a certified functional nutritionist (in training!) who helps women feel empowered in their health journey, learn how to confidently eat well, find healing and support during chronic illness, and gain kitchen confidence through simple, delicious recipes for you and your family!
It is high time I highlighted my internet famous bone broth hot chocolate on my own blog, am I right?!
In July of 2020 on a hot Texas day I created this random concoction that has become a viral internet sensation - that is hard to even wrap my head around!!
After four & a half years, it's all over social media and has been featured in places like the Kettle & Fire blog and now the Drew Barrymore show and the New York Post!
See my Instagram post here with the footage of Drew herself saying it's her “new favorite thing ever.” To say I FREAKED OUT doesn't cover it.
Bone Broth Hot Chocolate (original recipe from Fallon’s Table!):
-1/2 cup unflavored chicken bone broth (homemade OR store bought brands are often low flavor enough to be fine)
- 1 cup whole milk
(or 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream + 1/2 cup milk)
-1-2 TBS maple syrup
-1-2 TBS cacao powder (depending on how chocolatey you want it)
-splash of vanilla
-pinch of sea salt
-optional scoop of collagen for added gut goodness
Simmer on stove until combined and warm!
*if you are dairy free, you can swap in whatever milk works for you!
Many of you have helped credit my recipe over the years when it's been used by others and I can't tell you how much that means! You know what they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! 😉
If you've been a BBHC fan (an acronym nobody is using) for years, you're gonna love the rest of my recipes, too!
Like this delicious drink, ALL of my cookbooks and recipes are about creating the most nourishing version of all the foods you LOVE. (Oh, and it’s all gluten-free if needed!)
My Batch cookbook, for example, is all about cozy & warm - bacon potato soup, the BEST enchiladas of all time, cheesy beef & rice casserole, cappuccino custard, pumpkin bread bars. (I’m starving now 😮💨).
My Fixin’s cookbook is Southern-style comfort food made nutrient-dense; think: homemade fried chicken, peach cobbler, rosemary roast, sausage gravy…YUM.
And my Tots cookbook is nostalgic, dye-free, colorful, & kid inspired FUN. Homemade poptarts, hamburger helper, chicken & stars soup, oatmeal cream pies.
GOOD LUCK DECIDING 😉
